About Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association

Electric cooperatives are not-for-profit utilities owned and regulated by the consumers we serve. We improve lives in our rural and suburban service areas through affordable and reliable energy, economic development and the education of tomorrow’s leaders. Tennessee’s 24 electric cooperatives serve more than 1.1 million homes, businesses and farms and maintain 86,000 miles of line and $2.8 billion in infrastructure. Co-ops impact our state by providing more than 2,600 jobs to Tennesseans and contributing more than $60 million each year in taxes to local communities.
